Place of tranquility – our inner worlds

You may have seen me talking about a world that separates our daily lives, a world where I can be in peace and not let anything from reality bother me. Some people may call it their “happy place” because of how free you can be when you’re within that world. It is a place where we can all let go of our worries for the time being, a world where it is eternally peaceful, a world without conflict and sadness. Deep, deep down every human has one of these worlds within them. It is surrounded by the things that shape your personality and that’s why we all feel so comfortable within these illusionary worlds. It is a world that is always active within our minds; no one but yourself is able to enter that world. It’s like an inverted world of reality where all the bad things that bother you don’t exist.

Now everyone has their own individual ways of accessing this inner world of theirs. It may be accessed when you sleep and you dream, it may be accessed when you listen to music or a certain type of song. Each individual human being has their own unique ways of tapping into this world. For me looking up into the night sky and being able to stargaze allows me to lose sight of everything and enter that world of mine. Even if it lasts a split second in reality, it feels like years in my mind. If I was given the choice, I would willingly move into that world but that’s just impossible. Listening to slow songs or lying down also opens the doorway to my inner world. Everyone’s inner world looks different depending on what experiences they may have had. For me, I would imagine mine to be black and white with a giant moon that overlooks you. I have always found myself to be more calm when alone and that’s why my inner world is black and white. The moon and the stars have always fascinated me ever since I was a small child. I see it as something that empowers my being. People tend to miss to see how beautiful the stars and moon look in the night sky.

Beautiful, isn’t it? If something has to represent my inner world, it would have to be this picture. Anyway, when we are within our inner worlds, we feel invincible, happy, we feel like we could do whatever we want. I don’t see why anyone would choose to live in this reality when our inner worlds exist. It’s not like we have a choice though.

As long as we continue to dream, our inner worlds will always be filled with joy. Don’t lose sight of anything and most importantly, don’t give up on your dreams.

  1. Don’t lose sight of reality. The dream world is idealistic, merely an illusionary vision for which we allow ourselves to escape the honesty of the real world. But the real world means to much more to us than ever could some illusion. Live for now, live for life itself.
